About GTime

Affectionately referred to as GTime by my students, I was born and raised in Michigan where I attend Michigan State University (MSU) for both my undergraduate and master's degrees. Growing up about twenty minutes from campus it was always my dream to be an Izzone member and attend MSU.

Thanks to the influence of my AP U.S. History and choir teacher I chose to pursue an education degree. I was accepted into MSU for the fall semester for 2010 and started my journey toward becoming a teacher and a coach. During my time at MSU, I played on a student lacrosse team, was a member of the Michigan State snowboard club, and attended as many sporting events as I could. I then moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to complete my full year of student teaching at City Middle High School. I was fortunate enough to live with my Grandpa, who took care of me, made me dinner most nights, and did not charge me rent.

In 2014 I moved from the mitten to the mountains after accepting a job at DaVinci Academy, taking my love for Michigan State and Lacrosse with me. In my free time, I am an avid outdoors adventurer. During the winter I spend most of my time at Snowbasin resort skiing and snowboarding. During the summer I partake in a mix of rock climbing, hiking, lacrosse, and camping. I try to frequent the national parks of Utah and the surrounding areas as much as possible, with Zion National Park being my favorite.
